Data Protection

The Society complies with the Data Protection Act (1988) and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came in effect on 25th May 2018. The Data Protection Act 1988 (DPA) is designed to protect personal data stored on computers or in an organised paper filing system. The Blakeney Area Historical Society (BAHS) is categorised as a not-for-profit organisation under the DPA.

Your contact details and other information provided by you to the BAHS are used by the BAHS for the purposes of running the BAHS including the management of your membership and communicating with you. We do not pass your details onto other organisations or third parties.

If you are not a past or present member and have signed-up to our information emails we manage the very limited data we hold on you in the same way as we look after our members’ data.
